Domestic Energy Assessor

Job Role

The Ideal candidate will assist the Property and ECO Division and perform a wide range of energy consultancy work, which will include but are not limited to:

  • Carry out Retrofit Surveys and EPC Surveys throughout Scotland
  • Organise and process relevant paperwork back to the Property Team
  • Follow up existing appointments
  • Provide excellent customer service to existing and new customers

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • Construction background preferred
  • DEA qualified if possible
  • IT skills including the use of Word, Excel and Outlook, ability to use a iPad
  • Ability to interpret schematic drawings and draw their own floorplans
  • Be able to identify any building defects such as mould, damp etc have knowledge and understanding of different types of heating systems, ventilation systems, knowledge of construction would desirable but not essential as full training will be given
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent typing or word processing abilities
  • Good Problem Solver
  • Ability to work on their own
  • Willing to travel – the candidate may require travelling and overnight stays, flexibility is essential
  • Must be willing to undertake the DEA and Retrofit Course if required to become fully qualified, this position has the scope for career progression to a Retrofit Coordinator and Retrofit Designer.
