Banff Based Energy Firm Celebrates Finalist Success
A Banff based energy consultancy business is celebrating after reaching the final stages of a north east industry award.
Diversity Energy Solutions has been shortlisted as a finalist in three categories in this year’s Trades Awards North Scotland. The company has achieved shortlist success in the Sustainability in Construction, Rising Star and Best Small Trades Business categories.
The short list announcement comes as the firm celebrates five years in business after being launched in 2016.
Owned by local businesswoman Tracie Lovie and director Stephen Cornwallis, the company has achieved continuous growth and now employs 20 staff across its offices in Banff, Stirling and Kilwinning.
The firm provides impartial energy consultation and advice, installation, testing and certifications, to deliver energy efficiencies for domestic and commercial building owners and developers.
The in-house full turnkey approach to energy efficiency and improvement is delivered by a team of skilled and qualified professionals in the field.
Recently achieving accreditation status has further enhanced the company’s profile as an approved vendor with multiple major utility operators, in addition to working with numerous developers, construction companies, local authorities and multi-national organisations across the UK. The firm has ambitions for further growth in the UK and Europe.
Commenting on the shortlist success, Ms Lovie said, “The entire Diversity Energy team is delighted to be shortlisted in these awards. The past 18 months have been difficult to navigate as a small business, but against the odds we have undergone significant change and growth, which has undoubtedly set the foundations of our business for future success. I cannot commend the team at Diversity Energy enough for their hard work, dedication and efforts to date. Reaching the finals of these awards is recognition of the entire team and what we have achieved in a relatively short period of time. We are very much looking forward to attending the virtual ceremony in October.”
Mike Wilson, Managing Director of Mearns & Gill, organisers of the Trades Awards said: “We are so proud to be able to showcase the incredible work taking place in the north east construction industry, especially across these last 18 months. The industry has led the way in terms of working safely, efficiently, and innovatively during a pandemic and it’s been incredible to see evidence of this in this year’s applications. We would like to take the opportunity to congratulate all of this year’s very worthy finalists, we cannot wait to reveal who this year’s winners are!”
Winners of the awards, which are organised by Mearns & Gill and headline sponsors Stewart Milne Group, will be announced at a live virtual awards ceremony on Friday 8th October.
